Mixed Media and Resin on Canvas
A series of 4 pieces each inspired by one of the essential elements. Each piece takes physical examples of the actual element to create a snapshot moment of the element.
Air uses resin to enclose open spaces of air within the canvas; the resin taking on a texture as if being moved with a gust of wind.
The four pieces use similar techniques to create cohesion of the power of each element. But are individual enough to show the characteristic of each element. All pieces try to focus on the element in a raw, stripped back form.
